Terms And Conditions

By making purchases or registering for courses, you agree to this Cancellation and Refund Policy (the “Policy”). The receipt of payment or registration for a course constitutes acceptance of all terms, conditions, and policies made publicly available by Silver State Rescue LLC, doing business as Silver State Rescue (the “Company”), including this Policy.

Reservations/Registrations

A reservation creates an obligation for you to attend and pay for the course selected. By registering for a course, Silver State Rescue is reserving a space for you and foregoing the opportunity to receive registrations from other potential participants. If you fail to complete payment for a registered course, Silver State Rescue may attempt to replace your seat, and may hold you liable for the full amount of the course. Failure to complete payment for the course, forfeits your reservation, and a seat in the particular class may not be available for you.

  • If you are unable to attend a class that you have already registered and/or paid for, please contact us at Support@silverstaterescue.com as soon as possible. If you commit to a class, please show up. Registration by phone is also offered, but your seat in class is not guaranteed without payment.  We can process payment via credit card via phone or We will send a payment request once registered to hold your seat.
  • It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that you are enrolled in the correct class.  If you are unsure for any reason please contact your school, agency, organization, or referring party.  We can try to assist as well but we cannot make any guarantees.
  • If you register for a course and it is the wrong class for which you need, Silver State Rescue is not responsible for your error. If you purchase the wrong course we can place you in the correct course and reserve the right to charge the original payment method for the balance due at that time. If the purchased course cost is higher than the needed, a refund will not be processed.  Please contact us prior to purchase to ensure you are enrolling in the correct class.  Course costs may be issued as a credit towards another class upon request.  
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class to ensure all paperwork is completed and complete the sign in process.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend a class, a CANCELLATION must be requested no less than 24 hours prior to the class date, to not be labeled as a NO SHOW. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. Silver State Rescue designs its course schedule to serve its clients and the community and reserves the right to cancel a class due to severe weather, low enrollment, instructor availability, or any other reason the Company deems reasonable. You will be notified as soon as reasonably possible after a cancellation. If a class is canceled due to inclement or severe weather, the class will be rescheduled, or the student may transfer to a different class at their convenience. No refunds will be issued. The Company will do everything possible to get you into the next available class.

Rescheduling

Silver State Rescue will reschedule all paid participants if the course is canceled by the Company or instructor due to low enrollment or instructor unavailability or any other reason deemed reasonable with no additional fee. The company will make reasonable efforts to reschedule a class based on both student availability and instructor and student availability. 

We are happy to reschedule students to a more convenient date upon request, however, there is a rescheduling fee for this request. The request must be made no less than 24-hours prior to the class start time you are originally scheduled for. An email to reschedule must be sent to support@silverstaterescue.com no less than 24-hours BEFORE your scheduled class/session begins. The “TIME STAMP” on your email will be the official time of record for the purposes of this agreement. Failure to do so will result in you forfeiting all the course fees or deposits paid, and those fees may NOT be applied to a later class/session. If your initial registration is within 48-hours of a scheduled course you will not be given the option of a refund, reschedule, credit or cancellation. Students may reschedule only once per class they have registered for. The new class date selected for the rescheduling must be within 60 days of the original class date. We reserve the right to decline your rescheduling date request due to limited seating on that date. Rescheduled classes must be approved by the instructor. Once approved and rescheduled Silver State Rescue reserves the right to charge the original method of payment at that time for the rescheduling fee unless other arrangements have been made prior.

Rescheduling fees are as follows:

  • $10.00 for AHA HeartSaver courses.
  • $15.00 for AHA BLS courses.
  • $50.00 for AHA Instructor courses.
  • $10.00 for ARC CPR AED courses.
  • $15.00 for ARC BLS courses.
  • $50.00 for ARC Instructor courses.
  • $5 for Stop The Bleed courses

Late & “No Shows”

Individuals who arrive more than 10 minutes late for a standard course will not be allowed to enter the class because the participant has missed required course information and will be treated as a “NO SHOW” and will not be entitled to Reschedule or receive a Refund. Silver State Rescue is not responsible for emails not received, feel free to call or text to verify if we received your email or if you have a question.

If you are attending a “Private Course”  or single student course, the instructor will wait up to 20 minutes before they will be allowed to leave. If you arrive more than 20-minutes after course start time you will not be allowed a reschedule or refund, this will fall under the “NO SHOW” policy.

Refunds

Class registrations are final and constitute a binding agreement between you and Silver State Rescue. No refunds shall be issued except as specifically articulated in this Policy. No refund, reschedule or credit will be given to students if they show up to a class and find out they registered for the wrong class, or if the student attends any portion of a class and is unable or unwilling to complete it. Any refunds processed for any reason are subject to a refund fee of up to $25 and is non negotiable.  The refund will only be processed to the original method of payment minus refund fee and any physical merchandise already received. 

Refund Exceptions

Due to the nature of this industry, we do not issue refunds. We will review exceptions and extenuating circumstances on request. A request will be addressed and processed within 7 business days from the date and time of your scheduled courses. All requests must be submitted by email to support@silverstaterescue.com.  All refunds are subject to the refund fee as addressed in the refunds section.

Emergencies
Due to the nature of this industry, we do not issue refunds. We will review exceptions and extenuating circumstances on request. A request will be addressed and processed within 7 business days from the date and time of your course. You may also send an email directly to support@silverstaterescue.com and leave us a message. No phone calls or text messages will be allowed for the above process, EMAILS ONLY. Please read the entire policy so you are aware of what our rules are and what will take place when you contact us.

Please contact Silver State Rescue via email before the scheduled start time of a class. All requests must be through EMAIL ONLY, NO EXCEPTIONS. The time stamp of your email will be the official time used for this policy. RESCHEDULING may be considered. However, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

Check Payments 

No personal checks will be accepted for payment.  Company or organizational checks will be accepted for more than 4 students with a valid id.  Exceptions are discretion of Silver State Rescue Owner. 

Returned Checks/Chargebacks 

If a check or chargeback is returned to us for insufficient funds, or a chargeback from your financial institution you will incur an additional fee of $35.00 before your certificate will be issued.

If your check is returned or a chargeback occurs and we issued your certificate in good faith, you will need to send an additional fee along with the original amount immediately.

If we are not compensated within 14 days, then we reserve the right to notify the American Heart Association, American Red Cross or other training organizations that the certificate was obtained fraudulently and the card will be invalidated.
We also reserve the right to notify your employer or school, or any other institution the company deems necessary.

Promotions

In the event Promotional codes are offered, they would only apply to classroom-based courses and do not apply to the ‘e-Learning’ online courses, textbooks, book shipping fees or other purchased items.

Add-Ons

All Add-Ons will be issued at the arrival, during, or after your scheduled course.  Arrangements may be made to receive your purchased items prior to class by submitting a request to Support@SilverStateRescue.com.  If you have any questions please reach out to us.  

eCards Claiming and Issuance

Silver State Rescue issues eCards. It is advised by the AHA, to first try to run a few searches in your email inbox to make sure you
didn’t overlook the email with the link to access your eCard.

  • Search and make sure you don’t have any emails from: No-eccreply@heart.org or eCards@heart.org
  • If you know you have already claimed your card from Silver State Rescue, view your claimed card
    If you continue to have trouble finding your eCard, please call 775-800-6160 with the date of the original class, the type of class and the location of the class. Once these records are documented and verified we will attempt to resend your ecard to your email. If an email address is corrected it will be sent to the new email.
  • If the eCard was not received due to Silver State Rescues error in addressing, there is no fee. Silver State Rescue
    is not responsible for incorrect Email addresses provided by students, or cards not received that
    were sent to a correct email address. Silver State Rescue may be able to provide your ecard code number within 18 months of your original class with a fee of $10.

Class Sign-in

You will be asked to check in on arrival for your class and you will be responsible to ensure your name is spelt correctly, and verify your email and phone number are correct. Changes are able to be made at the time of sign in.
