Do you allow students under the age of 18 to attend classes?

Yes, We do allow any age of student in all of our courses. We do want you to be aware though that we are required to hold all students to the same standard that the American heart Association has put forward with no exceptions. As long as the student is able to complete all skills tests and written tests they are welcome!

We do also require an adult be present with the student at all times during the course if under the age of 14. A minor consent form must be completed prior to the beginning of the class. The adult over 18 does not need to register for the course themselves but will not be able to assist and will not be certified unless they have registered.

Do you offer private or one on one courses?

Yes absolutely. We understand that some people learn better or are more comfortable in a one on one setting and we offer private courses for that reason. We want to make our students as comfortable as possible during your course to maximize learning.

How long does it take to get our AHA Card?

We try to always issue your card before you leave. We have tried to make it easy to make sure you get your card quickly and accurately. If some reason we cannot issue the card before you leave we try to get it issued within 48 hours of your course.

What are your hours?

We strive to make ourselves available as much as possible. We do not limit ourselves to regular Monday to Friday 9-5 type hours. Depending on instructor availability we are flexible with our courses and are willing to make arrangements for pretty much any time day or night. We will do everything we can to make a date and time work for you!

What do I do if I have not received my AHA completion card in my email?

You can claim your Ecard USING THIS LINK. You will need to enter your first name, last name, and email address used in registration. If this method does not work please contact your instructor to verify information.

If you provided a phone number during registration you can also use a text method below:

During or after class, (if your Instructor or Training Center has entered your mobile phone number into the eCard system) opt-in to claim/view your eCard by texting “eCard” to the number 51736.
If the message is sent correctly per the guidance of your Instructor, you will receive instructions via text message on how to claim your eCard.
If a you attempt to opt-in and your number is not in the system, you will receive a message that your phone number was not found.

Where are your Courses located?

We offer multiple options for our courses:

We can come to your residence, business, or other arranged location (restrictions may apply)

What is a digital student workbook?

When you opt in for a digital student workbook you will be assigned a code to receive your student workbook via the American Heart Associations eBook website and learning center. once claimed the eBook will remain in your inventory and book shelf and cannot be lost or stolen. If you opt in for a digital workbook and for any reason cannot access it during class we do have loaner books.

I currently work full time as a 911 dispatcher in the Reno/Sparks area. I was born and raised in the Reno and always have felt this is my true home in the Silver State. My goal in starting Silver State Rescue is to better educate people in the skills and knowledge that In hopes that every one that takes one of my courses is prepared in the case of an emergency. I am a learner and plan to continue to educate myself in any way possible in many safety and rescue techniques and to further expand our available courses in the future. I am also trained as an EMT basic (not licensed or in practice at this time) . I am a father of four amazing kids and an amazing wife that is in the medical industry as well.

I have taught CPR, First Aid, and Safety classes now for 6 years and have taught hundreds of students during that time. As a 911 medical dispatcher i walk people through CPR over the phone almost daily! I I have taught hundreds of students in my time as an instructor in a hospital settings, school settings, and to the general public. I have a true passion for teaching CPR and other safety classes after a close and personal experience in one of my workplaces where a great Co-Worker and friend went into cardiac arrest and I didn’t know what to do. Finding myself scared knowing if someone didn’t act right then and there that this person could not make it and in the moment I knew I never wanted to have that feeling again! That’s when I made it a mission for myself to learn CPR and even become an instructor to share the knowledge with everyone.
