Policies

At Silver State Rescue we welcome students of any age. Students under the age of 14, must have an adult over the age of 18 present at all times during the course. Students from the age of 13 to 17 will be permitted to attend the course without an adult over the age of 18 but understand that we strongly suggest a parent/guardian be present during the entirety of the course.   I understand that Silver State Rescue is not responsible for the students presence before, during, or after the course and cannot stop a student from leaving property at any time.  Parents/Guardians attending to a minor during their course(s) are not required to register for the course but will not be allowed to participate in the course and will not receive a course completion certificate unless registered.  Silver State Rescue may not transport a student to or from the course location and will be the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Minor students are held to the same standard as adults in all courses and must complete all requirements including but not limited to skills testing and paper testing. If you are unsure your minor student will be able to complete all required tasks please contact us before purchasing your courses . We would be happy to discuss any concerns or questions.

All students under the age of 18 must have a minor student consent form completed before the beginning of the course. The parent/guardian must complete this on arrival.  You can fill out and submit our Minor Consent Form HERE online prior to the course.

Courses published by our instructors on the website are open courses and are available to the general public. Open courses are subject to additional students from the community. At this time courses are limited to 6 students per class. 

Private courses are available to all.  Private courses have a minimum purchase amount of $150 regardless of the amount of students or cost of the course.  Private courses held on-site (your location) have a minimum of 4 students or purchase of minimum 4 seats for each course held.  Private courses may be held in a private residence, private organization, or private location.  Please contact us prior to purchasing for classroom requirements.  Private classes will not be posted publicly unless requested.

All students participate in training at their own risk.  Silver State Rescue or any employee there of reserves the right to contact emergency services on your behalf if an injury or accident occurs before, during, or after your course or at any time deemed necessary.  By accepting the terms and conditions of our services you agree that Silver State Rescue may act on your behalf in the instance of an accident or emergency situation within their scope of practice or within reason.  Silver State Rescue may not be held responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur both on or off property due to mechanical failures, negligence, or act of god.
